Posters of NYC

If you are looking for posters or pictures of NYC to decorate you apartment, you should try something different.  Instead of wall mounting a huge mural or spending money to tastefully frame posters or prints, take a look at an art print room divider.  UrbanAccentsNY has a niche online shopping site just for art print room dividers.  These folding screens or floor screens are attractive and make awesome backdrops, corner accent pieces, or you could even mount it to a wall and people will think you spent big money on such a big image.

These room dividers measure 6ft high and each panel is about 15" wide.

Room Dividers with Art and Photos

Room divider folding screens come in all sizes and styles. The shoji screen made with a wood frame and usually rice paper is the most common room divider on the market. The design is simple squared window pane pattern. I'm sure you have all seen posters with stock photos and famous world paintings and photography. Now there is a room divider that actually has the enlarged printed image on 3,4 and even 6 panels! These "art print room dividers" are basically a functional poster but much more sophisticated and bold. So the question is, what is the quality like of these screens? These unique folding screens are constructed with a very light weight spruce wood frame. The image is printed on stretched canvas also called a poly-canvas. The ink used is high saturated so the pixels are closer together producing a clear image. So what exactly is "stretched canvas"? Without getting too technical, it is more advantageous to understand what I can compare it to.
First of all, these art print room dividers are very light weight. A 3 panel screen weighs about 12 pounds. The material used to print the image on is wrapped around the wood skeleton frame of the panels. The material feels similar to wall paper or smooth vinyl texture. There is a different image on each side which makes sense if you get bored of one image, just flip it around.
Let's say for instance you go to a printing shop and you ask them to enlarge a custom photo of yours to the same size of a three panel room divider. The average cost of a custom image blown up to 6ft high by 45" wide ( same dimensions as a 3 panel screen) would cost you between $150-$180, and that's just to print in on an adhesive stick on paper, not a folding screen. Also keep in mind that the price to print something that large will only be one side, not double sided, like the "art print" divider you find online.
A three panel double sided room divider in art print sells between $123-$159 including shipping. You will not find a printed image to that large of scale at a price like that. The reason why these room dividers are so affordable is because they are mass produced by the thousands in the Far East. Special discount on website: http://UrbanAccentsNY.com

How To Decorate a Dorm, Room Divider Ideas

Thank god no more curfews and no more mom and dad telling me what to do.  Isn't going off to college exciting?  Now that you are going to be away from your high school time capsule of a room with all your favorite band posters, you have a little bit of a decorating challenge ahead.  Most likely you will be sharing the room with somebody else so decorating tastes may clash.  However there is one thing both roommates that share the same room can agree upon...a little bit of privacy and separation doesn't hurt.

Most dorm rooms can be the size of prison cells.  Some prison cells may be even bigger than your typical dorm room.  My freshman dorm in college was so small, I had to throw the pet gerbil out the window to make more room.  A stylish way you can solve some privacy issues is with a folding screen room divider.  There are some great ideas of how you can decorate your dorm room with style and function. There are over 150 different art print themed double sided room dividers to choose from.  From the worlds greatest photography to impressionist paintings and vintage art.  Make a bold statement in your dorm room while adding function.

You will need a little privacy with some stylish art print widow blinds.  Nothing is more unattractive and institutional than those rolling beige curtains that never stay down or never roll up.  These art print window blinds are made from bamboo with high saturated ink to create a visual delight and uniqueness to  your room.  I personally guarantee your dorm neighbors or suite mates will compliment your original taste in
 decor.

Lastly, what better way to store your little items in attractive functional storage drawers.  Let's face it, the dorms only provide you with a desk and a small closet if your lucky.  There is nothing more hideous than those disgusting synthetic plastic drawers that are not biodegradable.  A suggestion for added storage space for small items is natural woven fiber rush grass.  Strong, durable and lightweight, these storage drawers come in many different sizes and colors.  They make great end tables and nightstands, lingerie chest.  Great for bathrooms as well.

Finding cheap storage solutions for small space urban living

Trying to purchase a nightstand, side table, chest of drawers and other storage solutions can be quite difficult especially when you don't have the time or means of transporting such items.  There is an inexpensive solution for this.  We have all seen the plastic storage bins and drawers that are commonly sold at the container store.  These can be nice but they have no aesthetic appeal and don't always fit nicely with the existing decor of the room.  There are many rattan and wicker pieces that can be quite expensive.  Wouldn't it be nice to have a cheaper yet attractive natural looking storage pieces in your room?  There are now storage drawers made from natural spun tough plant fiber cords.  Pieces are available in 2,3,4, and 5 drawers with or without wheels. Fully assembled, light weight, affordable, mostly priced under $100 and delivered free to your door.  These storage solutions offer a more attractive alternative to plastic bins.

Most pieces offered in multiple finishes to match your existing decor.
